Helping Muslim families raise children with a values-first understanding of money

WHAT IS EK RAQM?

Teaching money the way schools don’t

Children grow up surrounded by money, spending it, asking for it, and watching it move through everyday life, yet they’re rarely guided on how to understand it, respect it, or use it with care. What is taught often overlooks what matters most to Muslim families: intention, balance, generosity, and barakah. Ek Raqm was created to gently bring those values back into the conversation.

MONEY, THE ISLAMIC WAY

In Islam, money is more than currency – it is an amanah, a trust. Ek Raqm helps families teach children that money is a responsibility, not just a reward, and that knowing when to save, when to spend, and when to give matters deeply. Children learn that generosity increases barakah, and that thoughtful choices are more important than big amounts. These lessons are rarely taught in schools, yet they shape a child for life.

HOW EK RAQM WORKS

Everyday money moments

Children learn through small, real-life actions saving, spending, and giving in daily situations.

Good choices are recognised

Positive behaviour and effort are acknowledged in thoughtful, meaningful ways.

Repetition builds strong habits

Simple actions repeated over time develop confidence, discipline, and consistency.

Clear intention from the start

Money is introduced as an amanah, helping children understand purpose before reward.

Parents guide, children practice

Parents stay involved, guiding conversations while children build independence.

Generosity becomes natural

Giving is woven in from the beginning, helping children connect money with barakah.

OUR LEARNING TOOLS

Ek Raqm creates thoughtfully designed learning tools that help children build healthy money habits – rooted in Islamic values and practised through everyday life.

Learning Boxes

Our tools focus on:

Ek Raqm helps children understand money as an amanah, while building habits around saving, spending, and giving. Through calm, intentional rewards, good behaviour is encouraged, and learning becomes something families experience together.

Workbooks & Activities

Learning Boxes

Ek Raqm offers guided learning boxes that introduce money habits through faith, play, and reflection, including our Ramadan launch box and future themed boxes. Alongside this, our workbooks and activities use story-led, hands-on learning to reinforce understanding through repetition and routine.

Learning Boxes

Because money lessons start at home Money is emotional. Children absorb how it’s talked about and used. Ek Raqm helps families create space for healthy conversations, shared learning, and positive reinforcement – building habits together.
Ek Raqm helps families raise money-aware children – grounded in faith, guided by values, and built through everyday habits.

OUR IMPACT

LOOKING AHEAD

Supporting families as children grow

In 2026, Ek Raqm will expand into a digital app – designed to support children as their financial understanding grows, without replacing real-life learning.
